I media inglesi come "The Sun" e "Daily Mail" hanno confermato che il centrocampista della Nazionale francese sarà assente per diverse settimane a causa di un infortunio alla coscia. Sembrava esserci più ottimismo sul tema, ma a quanto pare, lo stesso Solskjaer lo avrebbe confermato alla stampa, avvertendo che la sua presenza nel derby di Manchester che vedrà affrontarsi City e United il 7 marzo sarà più che complicata. Pogba salterà anche un'altra delle grandi partite dell'anno, Chelsea-Manchester United, che si giocherà domenica 28 febbraio alle 17.30.

L'allenatore dei Red Devils non ha chiarito per quanto tempo Pogba sarà fuori e si è limitato a commentare che salterà "qualche settimana in più" a causa di un infortunio. L'ex Juve non gioca da quando uscì zoppicante nel 3-3 contro l'Everton in Premier il 6 febbraio, proprio quando era in uno dei suoi momenti migliori.
