Mentre è stato annunciato che le partite con gli spettatori in Turchia si giocheranno a partire dal 1' ottobre, il Galatasaray ha chiesto formalmente, alzando il tono della protesta, che i tifosi siano ammessi anche al derby di Istanbul contro il Fenerbahce che si giocherà nella terza giornata, fra il 25 e il 28 settembre. Fino ad oggi, i dirigenti giallorossi si erano limitati ad augurarsi che il pubblico potesse essere ammesso allo stadio. Ora però la protesta diventa forte e con toni duri.

Il Galatasaray si è rivolto alla Federazione, con una richiesta formale e con l'accusa di concorrenza sleale. Ecco quanto sostenuto in una nota del Galatasaray, che ospita in casa il derby con il Fenerbahce: "Il derby di quella settimana senza spettatori provoca una grande ingiustizia. Chiediamo che l'andata del derby, che si giocherà sul campo avversario al ritorno con i tifosi, si disputi nelle stesse condizioni e misure di sicurezza.- L'opposto della stessa situazione, cioè se il Fenerbahce avrà i tifosi al derby e noi no, ci farà entrare in una situazione di concorrenza sleale. Chiediamo che questa ingiustizia venga eliminata".
